We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was our year to stay in Raleigh, so we headed over to my parent's house. Our friends, Kelly and Adam, and their son, Chase, and Anthony's girlfriend, Angela, joined us this year. We had a great dinner with family and friends and are so thankful for the many blessings in our lives! It was so much fun to see Aidan eat turkey for the first time. He couldn't eat it fast enough as he shoveled it into his little mouth.
Our evening got interesting when we noticed a bug bite on Aidan's cheek. After he woke up from his late afternoon nap his eyes and lips were swollen from an allergic reaction of some sort. We headed straight to the ER to make sure he wasn't having a reaction to the turkey or ham he had eaten for the first time. The doctor told us it most likely wasn't a food allergy since Aidan did not have a rash on his body. He thinks it was from the bug bite. After a dose of Benadryl we went back to Nana and Papa Lou's house. The swelling went away and Aidan was back to his normal self. It was definitely a night to be thankful and one that we won't forget!
