Carving Pumpkins

We carved 2 of our 4 pumpkins last night. Aidan chose a "happy face" for his tiny pumpkin and I did an Itsy Spider. He loved helping carve off the top and scooping out the seeds, but he doesn't like the "gobbly goo" inside! We loved having Nana and Papa help too!

Super Why "Saves the Day"!

Hill Ridge Farms

I LOVE fall...I love the cool weather. I love fall clothes. I love the leaves changing colors. I love pumpkin spice lattes. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love pumpkin patch pictures and hayrides. I LOVE fall!!

Before having Aidan I always thought about taking my own kids to the pumpkin patch during my favorite time of the year. So, it is tradition to head to Hill Ridge Farms to enjoy a fun, fall day. I love getting him all dressed up for the pumpkin patch and capturing such sweet memories on camera. This year Aidan had a birthday party for there for one of his friends from school. We stayed after the party and made a day of it. It was a beautiful day and he had a BLAST! Can you believe how much he has grown in just ONE year?!? I can't wait until next year...

Child of God

My refrigerator is covered with Aidan's artwork. Artwork from school. Artwork from coloring and painting at our house. But this one...this one right here...is a prized possession...this is Aidan's FIRST project from Sunday school. Our church recently shifted the kid's into the next level classrooms as they were older and ready to transition. When I went to get Aidan on Sunday this little picture was lined with the others in the hallway. I asked him why he had made a flame/fire on his paper and he said, "3 little boys were in the fire and God saved them".

What sweet words from the heart of a 2 1/2 year old as he recited the Bible story he had heard that morning. As a mother my heart's desire is for my precious son to grow up in the Lord. To know and claim the truth from His Word. To share his faith with others in his life. To live a life with the fullness and knowledge that he is deeply loved by his Father.

As I picked up this little piece of artwork from the hallway I gazed at my son and thanked the Lord for His handiwork and prayed that He move mightily in the heart of my Aidan. For He is at work in the hearts of even the little ones in our lives...

Oodles of Noodles!

There's no denying it...Aidan is a pasta boy! He LOVES pasta...raviolis, spaghetti, ziti...His favorite kind of pasta is "soup and noodles" (tomato soup with noodles in it). My Nana used to make this all the time for Anthony and I. I love that my mom has passed it on to Aidan. He could eat it every night! Oh Aidan, if only you could've tasted your Great-Nana's spaghetti sauce...

A Walk (RUN) in the Park

82 degree weather in October = outside time at the park! We went to the new park at the Durant Dump (yes, strange I know...) with Chase yesterday to enjoy the beautiful afternoon. The boys were so cute together and played so well. What a fun afternoon!
