Happy 1/2 Year Birthday!

Aidan celebrated his 1/2 year birthday today! I can't believe our little monkey is 6 months old today! My how time is just flying before our eyes. I remember each and every one of my birthdays being so wonderful because my mom went all out to make my special day perfect. So in true Nana Shirley style I made him a special birthday hat to wear today to celebrate his special day. He is also a new member of the 6+ months toy club...so we got him a new toy...a tugboat for the bathtub.

6 things Aidan has learned in the past 6 months:

1. To hold his own passy.

2. His name.

3. To roll over.

4. To snuggle and soothe himself with his Baby Monkey and Lovey Blanket.

5. That bath time can be great fun!

6. How LOVED he is by so many people!

6 things Mike has learned in the past 6 months as a dad:
1. How to change a diaper!

2. How to function on 2 hours of sleep.

3. All baby food smells like tunafish.

4. Batteries in toys weren't made to last more than 6 months.

5. There's nothing he loves more than waking up to his son's smile.

6. Regardless of what kind of day he had a belly laugh from Aidan heals all!

6 things I have learned in the past 6 months as a mom:

1. There is nothing like snuggling with your baby!

2. To get ready in 20 minutes.

3. How to sing "Old McDonald" over and over again with every animal known to man.

4. That I might never sit in the front seat again with Mike on trips to the beach.

5. Each moment with Aidan is a treasure...take them all in!

6. Why my mom loves me SO much!
