Does this little guy look sick to you?

Aidan is still sick with a double ear infection and pink eye! He finished his 10 day dose of his first anitibiotic, but it came back. So, back to the pediatrician he went. They said his ears still had puss in them and were red and that he had pink eye again. Poor little guy!

The doctor wrote him another prescription for a new antibiotic so that he would not become immune to the first one. However, within an hour of giving him his 1st dose he broke out into a rash with hives all over his face, arms, and legs! Our nurse told us to give him Benadryl and she would call back to check if the rash had gone down. As we gave him the Benadryl, he began to throw it all up. The nurse told us to take him straight to the ER!!! Within 30 minutes the rash had disappeared and the nurse at the ER prescribed him drops for his eyes. We are taking a week off of anitbiotics to see if his ears will heal by themselves. We will go back in a week to our pediatrician.

Aidan is such a trooper and has such a joyful disposition! You would never know that he is sick. Through it all he was laughing, smiling, and happy. I was crying because you hate for your little guy to be in pain. This guessing game thing is not fun! Again...wouldn't it be much easier if they came with manuals? I just want to fix it...oh, the joys of motherhood! We are thankful that he is better and pray that his ears will heal this week.
